i think a lot about how words once reframed can bring us joy and community, rather than loneliness and deeper self-understanding rather than assimilation and conformity. i recently read an entry on substack - which I just started --> Presenting...Genesis
anyway i read an entry by anecdotes, spirals, deconstruction, fever dreams called "grief is just love with no place to go" which i highly recommend. they reframe grief as love. i've done a lot of reframing of language in my years and I wanted to talk about some of what I've learned, specifically the word "excited".
there are so many philosophers and filmmakers who talk about this kind of thing such as Walter Benjamin, Andrei Tarkovsky, bell hooks, Andy Warhol, Patricia Hill Collins, James Baldwin, Anaïs Nin, the list goes on. I highly recommend you check them out.
