Titus
2:11-14
11For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, 12
training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live
self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, 13 waiting for
our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus
Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to
purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good
works.
INTRODUCTION:
Grace not only saves us, it
educates us, it schools us, it instructs us, it informs us, it trains us, it
edifies us, it disciplines us, and churches us up to represent Christ. There is
indeed a disconnect today between the concept of a conversion experience, being
born again in Jesus and the incarnation of a Christian life and lifestyle. I
think most Christians know what to do, regarding our behavior, actions, duties,
and so on, but we are not doing it. All over social media and the internet you
can find current stories about modern so-called believers behaving badly, or to
be fair just behaving like the world.
