Hey everyone! Today Z talks to Aliza Ayaz, the Founder and Executive Chair of UCL's Climate Action Society about our responsibility towards climate change and how our individual voices can help shape the world.
Aliza Ayaz's Bio: Aliza is a Population Health undergraduate student at UCL. She is the Founder and Executive Chair of UCL's Climate Action Society. CAS educates, advocates and acts for climate resilience across campuses and cities with a focus on diversity & inclusion. It aims to make climate action more engaging, applicable and affordable. CAS partnered with the UN and became the first student society to lobby with the parliament, leading it to become the first parliament in the world to declare a "climate emergency". Since 2018, Aliza has won the "Student Award for Outstanding Commitment to Sustainability" for 3 years straight at the UK Sustainability Awards. She is currently involved in environmental consulting for start-ups and universities and advises the UK Parliament on environmental policies as a student representative.
