You want to follow God, but there’s still a pull. That doesn’t make you a bad believer—it means you’re in the fight. Sin can look like relief when you’re afraid or empty. It promises control or comfort. But when Jesus says “lay it down,” He’s not scolding you—He’s inviting you to come closer. God doesn’t wait for you to clean yourself up. He meets you in the middle of the mess. Real change is hard, but every day you go to Him is already part of the reward.
