BEYOND EXTINCTION, a four-piece band from Essex has managed to exceed expectations despite their young age, with the eldest member being only 22 years old. Their sound, live performances, and image have impressed audiences, despite their fresh-faced appearance. As a self-managed and independent group, BEYOND EXTINCTION understands the challenges of breaking into the UK music scene and has embraced them with both hands. Their first-ever UK festival appearance was at Bloodstock 2021, where they played to a packed New Blood stage. They have also completed tours throughout the UK, with their debut headline tour selling out half of its dates. Their music is founded in the violent rage of down-tuned deathcore, coupled with influences from classic death metal and vitriolic beatdown. This dark and unrelenting sound is paired with a live show that leaves no prisoners and devastates venues wherever they perform.
Their debut EP, The Fatal Flaws of Humankind, was released in 2021 and has received high praise from critics. Kerrang!’s Alex Baker described it as “death metal of the highest order,” while Distorted Sound declared them “the future of deathcore,” and Gig Radar claimed they were “a band that absolutely has the talent to make it to the very top of the British metal scene.” BEYOND EXTINCTION has played at numerous festivals and headline tours throughout the UK and has supported Viscera, Osiah, Cancer Bats, The Five Hundred, Monasteries, Our Hollow Our Home, and Red Method. They now return with their second EP, Nothing More Wretched, featuring more face-melting and gut-churning death metal.
