Description

Other people’s beliefs and should(s), are worth considering,
but if they don’t enhance the quality of our life, get rid of them. We waste ridiculous amounts of time and energy comparing ourselves to others and guilting ourselves when we’ve done nothing morally wrong. Then we punish ourselves based on not meeting the expectations of other people’s beliefs and what they think we should be doing.

When we do this, we disconnect from our own beliefs, needs,
desires, and ultimately our authentic self and give others power not just over our lives, but over our true identity. We grow weak in our decision making and don’t trust ourselves because we’ve stopped thinking for ourselves and have adopted what they think or believe without considering if it’s true for us.

If we want to keep growing and evolving, we need to stay
strong in our beliefs and authenticity by challenging some common beliefs and misconceptions that often result in pulling us away from who we truly are and cause us to feel ashamed, not enough, guilty, like failures, or rotten, uncaring people.
