Emotions are unavoidable, and rightfully so. Experiencing our emotions can be healthy. Staying in an extreme emotional state can be detrimental to our mental health and well-being. We must learn how to self-regulate our emotions to help us navigate life. Self-regulation also helps us cope with and manage challenges. We are best served by learning to process, detach, and control our emotions internally and externally.
