Hey, it’s Jackie Loor, your love coach, and today we’re diving deep into something that’s often misunderstood – vulnerability in relationships. You know I’m all about being open and honest, but here’s the thing: vulnerability alone is NOT enough. In this episode, I’m talking about the real work that needs to happen for a relationship to thrive. We need to talk about emotional healing, recognizing red flags, and why you can’t get stuck in 'fixer-upper' relationships.
We’ve all been there—meeting someone who has potential, who seems to be healing, and thinking, “I can help them, we can work through this together.” But let me tell you, that compassion can only take you so far if the other person hasn’t done their inner work. You cannot fix someone who isn’t ready to heal themselves, and if you’re not careful, you might end up losing yourself in the process.
In this episode, I really want to caution you against being overly compassionate to the point where you’re sacrificing your own emotional needs. It’s SO important to prioritize YOU. If someone hasn’t worked through their own issues, it’s not your job to stick around and wait for them to catch up. You deserve a partner who is ready, not one you have to save.
We also talked about the importance of recognizing red flags. You’ve got to stop ignoring those signs just because you want the relationship to work. Being vulnerable doesn’t mean overlooking problems—it means being real with yourself and acknowledging when something isn’t right.
