Tariq Abdul-Wahad played college basketball at Michigan and San Jose State before being drafted 11th overall in 1997 by the Sacramento Kings. He played 7 years in the NBA with the Kings, Orlando Magic, Denver Nuggets, and Dallas Mavericks before moving on to coaching at the college and high school levels. Tariq was the first NBA player raised primarily in France and was a trailblazer that opened the doors for guys like Tony Parker, Rudy Gobert, and many more.
