Description

As the Psalmist writes Psalm 119, this Heth stanza focuses on commitment. How committed are you to the Word of God, to the God of these words? The Psalmist reflects on his personal commitment to God, beginning with the statement that Yahweh is his portion. The Lord is enough for him, his life is centered on the Lord. What is your commitment to the Lord? What will it be in 2025? What is your commitment to engage the Word? How did you engage the Word last year? As believers, we desperately need the words of God, every day. In order to engage the word of God daily, you need a plan. Consider, make a plan for engaging God through his word in 2025!

Psalm 119 is a magnificent literary work containing 22 stanzas of 8 verses each. Each verse of each stanza begins with the same letter of the Hebrew alphabet. This masterful construction is intended to point to the sufficiency, power and value of the words of God for mankind.

The Psalms offer an incredible look at our great God: his faithfulness, his covenant love, his wisdom and power.  The Psalms offer amazing insights into the attributes of God. They also present to us the responses of humanity to God: thanksgiving, praise, worship, trust, obedience and even sorrow due to our circumstances.  The Psalms offer us a rich source of comfort, hope, and faith our all-powerful God who is Creator of all, above all and sustaining all!  May these messages bring you hope, comfort and confidence in the only source of real assurance - Yahweh, God over All!
