Dr. Emily Bamforth joins us today on the Secret Life of Entrepreneurs in our series, Women in Leadership, to talk about her secrets of success and how she has enjoyed the "thrill of the dig" since early childhood.
The winner of the 2019 Award for Science with the YWCA of Regina, Emily has long had a passion for science and encouraging more women to pursue STEM careers. Emily is a paleontologist with the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, where she works primarily out of the T.Rex Discovery Centre in Eastend, SK.
During research for her masters degree, Bamforth discovered and named three new fossil species. While completing fieldwork in Grasslands National Park for her PhD, she collected and catalogued more than 14,000 fossils.
