The Houston Colt 45 came into existence the same year as The Mets (1962). They soon became The Astros. They were our nemesis throughout the 60's and 70's. The reason; they sought youth while we always looked for big name players in the twilight of their career. The Mets had the last laugh though in 1969 and again in 1986 for sure. Here is a little history on our brothers in the 1962 expansion.
