Description

This week I have the pleasure of sharing an interview with Lupita Limon Corales. They are one of my favorite poets from Los Angeles. In their poetry they show love, its simplicity, complications and everything in between.

We connected and talked about Shakira, Audre Lorde, their poetic voice, trees as abolitionist allies, and why it’s always safer to jaywalk.

This conversation reminds me to continue being hopeful in this world and that permission to create is never needed. We hope this conversation does the same for you.

We are happy to share 3 of Lupita’s poems in this episode.

- Someone’s Fulana

- Dentist off Juanita Avenue

- Choreography for a car across the basin
