Psalm 51.1-3, Jeremiah 31.31-34, Hebrews 5.5-10, John 12.20-33
Some Greeks want to see Jesus and we have no idea whether they did or not. Their coming to Him is the sign that the time has finally come. The world is now coming to see Him. Jesus' answer to Philip and Andrew is enigmatic at the time. It could have been interpreted as though the time had come for Jesus to take the earthly throne. Only later did John realize Jesus was actually pointing to His death which would lead to the heavenly throne, awaiting the time when He would rule over all the universe. Jesus' glorification was achieved by His willing submission to the Father's will in the incarnation, life, crucifixion, death, resurrection and ultimately ascension. Without any one of those there is no glorification. It's the same with us if we'll have it.
