Description

If you have never heard about space medicine and space pharmacology, you will now! By the way, what do you think causes the astronauts the biggest headache in space?

Virginia delivers answers to all these questions in an enormously informative talk. She gives us a wonderful insight into the world of NASA, pharmacological and medical issues connected to space flights. As Virginia explains, things have there up and downs (badam-tsssss). Astronauts are exposed to radiation, they have to deal with minimal gravity and female astronauts face different issues than male astronauts due to the biological differences.

Guest: Virginia Wotring, PhD former Adjunct Associate Professor, Center for Space Medicine and Department of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology, Baylor College of Medicine, now faculty at International Space University

Host: Michal Hulik, Head of Communications at Radiolutions
