Val Margarit is Associate Dean of Academics Affairs at Keiser University, Pembroke Pines, Florida. Val has served in different capacities; as K12 constitutional law teacher, college professor of sociology, department chair, course developer, and faculty success and development designer. She holds a B.A. and an M.A. in sociology, an Education Specialist, a Doctorate in education leadership and certification in Inclusive Leadership:The Power of Workplace Diversity.
As a first-generation college graduate, Dr. Margarit is passionate about creating value and transformational learning experiences using the science of learning and teaching, and innovation, bringing to life the hidden potential of people and organizations to create a better future and solve the world's problems. She is a strong communicator with an outgoing, energetic, and motivating personality who excels at motivating others to take action and redefine personal and professional success. Dr. Margarit shares her own transformational life stories to connect with and motivate people to discover their hidden potential because: "achieving one’s full potential has less to do with genetics and IQ and everything to do with mindset and mindshift."
Val has won numerous awards, including Teacher of the Year, Distinguished Mastery Teacher, and the Free to Choose Excellence in Education awards. She developed several college courses including The Complete Guide: Achieving Success in College and Beyond. Her books include the best-selling “Why Not You? How to Become an Empowered Woman and The Successful Student Mindset.
