Have you ever been in a restaurant or in line somewhere and the person in front of you pays for your meal? Many have done this, or had it happen to them; it’s called paying it forward. You know you have received something that you must pay for, and it is a pleasant surprise to learn when you are about to take care of the debt you incurred, that you owe absolutely nothing. It gives you a warm feeling of love and gratitude. Well imagine what Jesus did for you on the cross. You may not be able to equate it yet, but He paid for your penalty. A debt that you would eventually have to pay for, He already took care of it for you. You can experience that same “pay it forward” feeling concerning what Jesus did because that’s exactly what He did. When you accept what He did for you, you owe nothing. You can now enjoy your life knowing He’s already paid for it. So on today, Jesus paid it forward so that you could experience life to the fullest not only in this lifetime, but for all eternity; therefore, rejoice and pay it forward leading others to the same experience and benefit Jesus gave you.
