Natural storms come and bring rain and sometimes destruction. The rain washes dirt and other junk away. The destruction that is caused breaks up and breaks down old stuff down and causes it to have to be cleaned up and cleared out. Storms may feel and appear to be bad, but they do have a cleansing effect to them. So too are the storms that arise in your life. Storms put you on edge, on alert. They cause you to sit up and take notice; they point out weaknesses, and allow you to compensate. Though storms don’t always feel good, you need to learn to embrace them and ride with the flow. Let the storms of your life wash away dirt and stuff that no longer fits. Let the destructive force break down and break up some things that are deep rooted and have been there for far too long. Start afresh, rebuild, and renew. So on today, even during the storms of your life, know that God allowed them to come and that He is still right there in the midst of them with you and when they’re over, you’re coming out clean, refreshed, fortified, and better than ever.
