Description

A beer with Sir Richard Branson, 8 beer coasters and 1 dream to take Virgin Airlines to Australia. In this week's episode, we were able to sit down with Brett Godfrey to hear about his career to date. We delved into how his career began, how he came up with the idea to take Virgin Airlines to Australia, the execution of this plan, and then talked about some of his current business interests. In the discussion we were amazed about how large of a step it was to bring Virgin to Australia at a time where the airline industry was dominated by 2 players - Qantas and Ansett. The details behind how he brought Virgin to Australia so successfully was awesome to hear and we certainly learnt a lot of lessons from the discussion.
Today, Brett runs the Australian Walking Company alongside ex-Qantas CEO Geoff Dixon and is Chairman of Tourism Queensland, the very topical Tasmanian AFL Taskforce and is a director at Rugby Australia. And as always we get some awesome advice at the end of the podcast.

We hope you enjoy!
