Why not have Halloween type episode its the month for it. In early 1900's there was no diagnose for mental illness, especially no treatment for it. So what if you were suffering from something and then are struck by a curse? That is what happened to Leonarda in Italy. When her mother placed horrible curse on her she does what she can to get ahead of it. Leonarda grew up with a mother who hated her and Leonarda believed anything she would tell her, so now a curse? Leonarda goes to a fortune teller who tells her her children are going to die young. Leonarda pregnant and hearing this now is super worried, when she miscarries, this curse is full effect. She will do anything to protect her future children, anything.
