This is a mighty case that also terrifies you in a way you didn't think possible. In July of 1987 53 year old Ruthie Mae McCoy was living in the Projects doing her best to turn her life around. She had a tough go a life growing up, she suffered from mental illness and lost the basement apartment she was living in when it flooded. She had no choice but to move into the High Rise projects. She lived in the most dangerous buildings, elevator hardly worked and stairwells were always pitch black, she lived on the 11th floor at the end. She was going to back to school, she was the mother of hallway, she was turning it around and when she came into some money her worst fears we now her reality.
