As you are all aware by now on Fridays we like to delve into the realm of horror and thrills. Well this week will be no different, as we travel back 61 years to the long forgotten show, Macabre.
I wish I had more history of this show but it seems to have been lost to time. From what I can tell it was only broadcast on the Armed Services Network for the US military at the time and there were only 8 episodes produced. The show had very little in the name of stars, and many of the actors have been long forgotten. That is not to say the show is of low quality. In fact, the terrifying narratives of this show left me more frightened than any other old time radio broadcast I have ever listened to. In fact, it left me in such a state, for the first time I will warn you dear listener.
Are you claustrophobic? Possibly scared of the dark? Terrified of someone watching you? Well don’t look behind you now. If any of these topics really effect you, then I would highly recommend turning off this podcast now. If you would like to enter into a realm of true horror, then sit back, try to relax… although I doubt you will. Maybe close the blinds, you never know who could be watching. Let’s stop the talk and turn back the clock 61 years to November 13th, 1961 and Macabre, or as the show calls it “macabre’” with Final Resting Place. Remember… I warned you!
