The next journey I will take you on is one of science fiction, but not just any tale. This one will make you sit on the edge of your seat and make your hair stand on end. In my opinion one of the very best and most entertaining episodes that came out of the science fiction subgenre.

This episode comes from the NBC show X-Minus One which ran from 1955-1958. It was a continuation of the earlier show Dimension X, where staff writers would rewrite newly published short science fiction from the likes of Ray Bradbury, Robert Heinlein, and Issac Asimov to name a few.

Presenter Fred Collins announces the show, and the stories of X-Minus One are compiled from the pages of Astounding Science Fiction magazine. This particular short story however was not written by a famous author, but instead an NBC script writer George Lefferts, who would go on to win 3 Emmys and 2 golden globes for his later work in TV and movies.

It begins with an individual entering an advertising agency with an unlimited budget and a strange request. So sit back, relax, close your eyes, and travel back 67 years to May 1st, 1955 with X-Minus One’s, The Parade
