Description

Today we will travel back 72 years to a lesser known series called Cloak and Dagger. This show only ran for 22 episodes in 1950 and was relegated to a mystery time slot with other shows of “lesser quality”. Despite how NBC viewed the program, I have been obsessed with it ever since I discovered it.

Cloak and dagger originated from the book of the same name by Corey Ford and Alistair McBain. Mr. Ford is the host of the series who you will hear from in a little bit. Much like the book, Cloak and Dagger is stories from the OSS or Office of Strategic Services, which was the precursor to today's CIA. Scriptwriters for the show were given selected case files after the war from the OSS and wrote stories dramatized around them. This means that the stories that you will hear are based on fully authenticated case files of actual espionage. Each episode takes place with a different agent at a different time in world war two.

Today we will join one of those agents, as he tries to take down a major Nazi target single handedly. All he wants is supplies, some TNT, an Italian Uniform, and he can do it. So sit back, relax, and travel back 72 years to June 4th, 1950 for Cloak and Dagger with The Brenner Pass Story.
