Today’s journey will take us back to the late 1800s and the wild west. After ending last week on a heavy note, we will start this week with an excellent episode of the show “Have Gun - Will Travel”. This episode is from a late era of radio, wherein some shows were broadcast on both television and radio. The radio series of this show actually debut more than a year after the televised version.

We will join the main character Paladin, played by John Dehner, in San Francisco as he runs into a man in the Carlton Hotel where he makes his home. On this particular journey, Paladin will go after a dangerous escaped outlaw who has already killed several men. Before I give away too much of the story it would help to understand the backstory of the man Paladin. He is a wandering gunfighter, always in search of adventure, and willing to do most jobs required of him for the right price. Paladin may be one of the most interesting and peculiar characters, with the most impressive resume of anyone in history. He is quoted as having the following skills
