Welcome back to On The Grow, I'm Grace Lee.
This is the twenty-eighth episode into the binge-able Transitioning Series.
"I remember nearing graduation — around March and April — feeling anxious of my future after UNC-Chapel Hill. It was stressful because even though this was a time where I should be celebrating and enjoying the remaining time with my college friends, I wanted to KNOW what I was doing after college. I was impatient. I graduated without having a job set in stone. I worked really hard to connect with people and accept as many interviews as possible. I got more No’s than Yes’s and I think that’s also something to keep in mind — you’re going to get rejected more than you are going to get accepted and you need to be accepting of that."
In episode 28 of On The Grow, I talk about my transition from graduating college to getting a job and moving to New York City. I share how I felt at the time, moments leading up to graduation, what I did the summer after graduation, landing my first job out of college, and transitioning to New York City.
