Welcome back to On The Grow, I'm Grace Lee.
This is the thirty-first episode into the binge-able Transitioning Series.
"If someone may not feel like a total right fit, then just explore it and really listen to what's working and what's not. The more you can be honest with yourself and reflect on that, that's going to prepare you to meet somebody great that you can spend the rest of your life with."
"What are things that only someone else can give me? What are things that I should be giving myself? The distinction between whether you like the idea of someone or if you like someone is you need to be "full." The fullness is being full within yourself, not another person. If you can figure out that component to yourself, then when you meet somebody, you're not trying to find traits in them that fill the void that you don't have, you're not trying to find someone who makes you feel good when you don't feel good yourself. It starts by working on yourself."
In episode 31 of On The Grow, I have a conversation with Rob Gregg, the founder of the shoe brand Rob McAllan, Forbes Under 30 Fellow, GQ Insider, American Express Ambassador, and a recently engaged man. He shares his transition from dating to engagement, his thoughts on what it means to be an influencer, how he met his fiancée, his outlook on dating before finding the one, some of the trials and tribulations of a long-distance relationship, almost proposing during COVID-19, and a really insightful tip for someone who is unsure whether they like someone or like the IDEA of someone.
