In Episode 74 on On The Grow, I talk about a topic that many of us struggle with. Whether it’s forgiving others in a relationship, forgiving others in a friendship, or even forgiving ourselves for past mistakes, I find that the act of forgiveness is easier said than done. We tend to not want to forgive others because if we do, it will excuse the behavior that caused the pain in the first place. It acts as a sign of defeat — it feels like we’re OKAY with whatever situation that happened. I’ll share a few more reasons why it’s hard to forgive others, and then why we SHOULD forgive, towards the end of the episode.
