Phoebe is a prime example of a gifted and strong leader in the early Church. In Romans 16: The Apostle Paul calls her a deacon and commends her for her valuable service. Religious bias and traditions have turned Paul into a misogynistic Apostle, when instead, he was a strong supporter of women.
