Catherine Gass is a photographer known for her evocative and thought-provoking imagery that often explores memory, identity, and books, using both traditional film and digital techniques.
Gass earned a BFA from the Minneapolis College or Art and Design as well as a MFA in Photography from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums across the United States, and her photographs have been featured in numerous publications.
Today we are talking about her upcoming work and her creative process — and announce that her photography and writing will be featured in the newest anthology from Unbound Edition Press entitled The Experiment Will Not Be Bound. This completely unique book — physically and philosophically unbound — was inspired by Catherine’s father, William H. Gass, and edited by our own Peter Campion. The book, in Peter’s words, includes authors who “venture out onto the skinny branches of their own sensibilities.”
This is Catherine Gass, unbound.
