“We, the public, often hold onto belief systems to reaffirm our personal biases, and social media algorithms naturally work so you see more of what you appear interested in.
This, along with our biases, form a comforting echo chamber, as we keep hearing the same stuff, or more of what we blindly want to hear. This leads to us not being challenged, even if we’re right or wrong.
Also, I see the UK government isn’t using the usual systems within mainstream media to get their message out, rather they are distributing their own information, using other free to use platforms. This also means the government isn’t being challenged as it once was.
Can I ask, how important is it do you think, that we’re all challenged, whether we’re right or wrong?”
