Stephanie E. Johnson, MA is a native of Atlanta, GA. She earned a B.A. in psychology from Dillard University and M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Northern Iowa. Stephanie’s former professional experience includes: supervised clinical therapist for adjudicated youth, suicide prevention and intervention supervised group counselor for African American women, and 10 years as a clinical research coordinator with the Emory University, School of Medicine-Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences where she managed several groundbreaking first episode psychosis and early intervention for schizophrenia studies. Stephanie’s interest in mental health advocacy and the improvement in quality of mental health care provision led to other projects such as: team lead and co-developer of the Emory University School of Medicine suicide-prevention continuity of care mobile app, ReliefLink (free on iTunes); former radio show host of “Lunch Therapy”, a mental health awareness talk show on Love 860AM and as an expert panelist for mental health fairs, forums and town halls. Stephanie is the founder and owner of a mental health coaching and consulting company, NaviPsych, LLC where she specializes in in-depth mental health consultations and mental health professional matching. Stephanie is also the Executive Director of the Lee Thompson Young Foundation, an Atlanta-based mental health nonprofit whose mission is eliminating stigma related to mental illness through evidence-based mental health education and awareness projects. She currently resides in Atlanta, GA with her husband, son and daughter.
