Retired MG Robinson is a native of Lubbock, Texas.
- He graduated Cum Laude from Monterey High School in Lubbock in 1978
- Texas Tech University graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 1982.
- From 1983-1987, Joe Robinson attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, Texas.
- He completed his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Anesthesiology in 1991 with a clinical subspecialty in Obstetrical Anesthesia.
- Joe Robinson is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and maintains his medical licenses in Texas and California.
- His professional associations include Texas Medical Association, American Society of Anesthesiologists, Bexar County Medical Society, and Texas Society of Anesthesiologists.
- Joe Robinson's date of Federal Recognition is 1 July 1989.
