I will share my own “working definitions” of freedom and independence.
In a recent conversation I was told by a national influence and leader they they felt their nation had fought to gain independence but didn’t know what to do with it and as a result have paid the price of political, social and economic instability for close to 60 years.
Some of the challenges have been geopolitical, some have been local and regional corruption, some have been outsiders taking advantage of all three.
