1. EQUAL OPPORTUNITY MEAN FAIRNESS
Fairness is when the same rules apply to everyone. Fairness is when no one has an advantage based on arbitrary and uncontrollable circumstances. Fairness is not a guarantee in life. In fact, nature itself does not demonstrate fairness as the homeostasis in the universe. The weakest water buffalo gets eaten. The least heat resistant plants die in the sun. The fish searching for an easy meal gets hooked. The micro organisms which adapt most quickly, survive the longest. Those born with exceptional height and great agility thrive at basketball, shorter, slower less coordinated people like myself choose something else to do.
In the course of human engagement, fairness requires concerted effort. Fairness in society, fairness in business, fairness in sports always demands the attention of the rule makers, the game crafters and the boundaries when they are established.
