*artwork my own* - [In my artwork, I imagine the spirit of the White Lady who haunts Castle Huntly, her tragic tale woven into the castle’s dark history. According to legend, she was the daughter of the Lyon family in the 1600s, who met a sorrowful end after her forbidden love with a servant was discovered. Confined to her bedroom high in the castle tower, her despair led to her fateful plunge from the window—whether by her own hand or another’s remains a mystery. Her ghost, clad in flowing white robes, is said to wander the grounds and appear at the window of her former room, keeping the memory of her love and loss alive].
