In this episode, we discuss the ongoing conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Starting with the Armenian Genocide in 1915, we take a look at how events have changed throughout the last century and specifically focus on the conflicts and wars in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. While looking at the tensions within the region, we additionally discuss perspectives coming from Russia, Turkey, and the United States and how each of their relationships with both Armenia and Azerbaijan differ. Lastly, we got to sit down with Armenian Emerson student Becca Melkonian who has a family history tied to the Armenian side of the conflict.
