Going from Retail to Survey Party Chief to Independent Artist Consultant has been the path of Jesse Curtis.
All he knew was he felt the need to make more money when he was offered a starting position as rod man on a pipeline
and took it.
During that time he got a girlfriend and worked all over the country.
Now in my experience, Surveyors can be a crazy bunch and it seems that Jesse was able to manage his 6 years very
well and had a plan to save his money and executed his exit strategy well.
We discuss some stories about being on the line and how he was able to use the RESILIENCY skills he learned working all over
the U.S., pipelining, to be able to launch his own company now to help starving ARTISTS reach their full potential
in the entertainment industry.
He teaches them how shift their mindset, give them the tools to market themselves in a digital world and learn
to thrive.
Such an interesting conversation and always a great time interviewing fellow oil and gas professionals.

Sit back and relax and listen to TODAY'S TALE FROM THE TRENCH.
In Jesse's words and where you can find him.
I worked as a surveyor for pipeline projects around the United States for the past 6 years. I decided to leave the industry in August in order to pursue a business serving independent music and media creators. I launched a podcast this year called 2020: Into The Fire, where I interview independent artists about the struggles they've had due to the pandemic and other issues of this year and how they are working to overcome the challenges they face.
