It was my honor to have Russell on the show today to hear his point of view and how RESILIENCE has been a major theme in Russell's life and how Russell was a major contributor to getting my ass back into the gym again after almost 15 years away from any physical activity that did not have to do with work.
MMA Pro Trainer and Strength Coach, Russell Peel, discusses a variety of topics that include training a pro athlete from the beginning to greatness and surviving the earthquake and tsunami in Japan back in 2011 where he was an english teacher at the time.
The mindset that came from training martial arts in a country like Japan was a major factor in how Russell lives his life and how he coaches his students and athletes in Calgary, Alberta.
Muteki MMA is his camp and I have personally trained with him and his students and I would not rather get punched in the face anywhere else.
Russell also won the 100% RAW WORLDS Powerlifting Championship last year and that just shows how RESILIENT he really is and how strength can translate into the MMA ring as well as demonstrated with his PRO athlete he trains, Eric "Big E" Stevens, who started with Russell from the beginning of his career.
I have personally been punched in the face by Eric and it was my honor to have that done to me by one of Russell's proteges.
Getting hit in the face is something that every man should encounter at one point in their life and add in how strength mentally prepares you for the curveballs that life throws at you. 100lbs is 100lbs. It does not care at all how you feel.
Sit back and listen to TODAY'S TALE FROM THE TRENCH.
