If you didn't have any light from your cell phone, flashlight, or another light device, how would you deal with a power outage at night? How would you navigate the darkness without light?
Light dispels darkness. . . Salt preserves and gives flavor. . . God’s Word says that we are to be “SALT” and “LIGHT”. Where in our lives or in our spheres of influence, are we doing either? Are we bringing light into the darkened places of our world? Are we bringing flavor to a bland, tasteless culture?
If we are, the Word says that people will see our good works and glorify God. If we are not, the Word says, that we're good for nothing. Ouch! That’s pretty harsh for the day that we live in, but often, the truth hurts. The good news is this, we can become what God has called us to be, Engaged Followers!
