The road to recovery can take a while, but after firing Will Wade from LSU two seasons ago, Matt McMahon has started to put the pieces together to progress LSU back to its natural place in SEC basketball. Last season, LSU got off to a promising start but the steam eventually ran out and the Tigers finished last in the SEC, yes even behind South Carolina. LSU lost seven players to the transfer portal, so there is going to be a ton of new faces in Baton Rouge this year. Additionally, the Tigers were able to return names like Fountain, Reed, and Ward. They’re also adding four star freshmen Corey Crest and transfers Jordan Wright from Vanderbilt and big man Will Baker from Nevada.
