On this episode of MindCruncher, I will discuss the recently proposed SEPTA Bus Revolution draft. The Bus Revolution refers to SEPTA’s desire to eliminate some bus routes in exchange for faster, more frequent service on other lines and a whole new microtransit system in more suburban areas. First, I’ll briefly discuss what SEPTA is and how it works. Then, I’ll discuss the Bus Revolution: the basics of the plan, the reason for its proposal, and the timeline. And lastly, I want to dive into the proposed microtransit system and the impact it has had in other cities, specifically the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area, and its potential in Philly.
