We talk with Dr. Christopher Carmona, one of the founders of the Refusing To Forget Project, which documents the Matanza period in Texas. The Matanza, loosely meaning The Killing, was a period when violence along the Texas border resulted in the killing of many Mexican and Mexican American residents in South Texas, many at the hands of the Texas Rangers, the military and otehr law enforcement agencies.
