On today’s episode, we dive into my main strategy to make weight loss easier without tracking calories. I built my Energy Density Hierarchy off of Dave Ramsay’s Debt Snowball strategy for helping millions of people get out of debt.
We go into depth on:
The parallels between debt & weight loss
Why both debt & weight loss are more about psychology than math
Why doing the “right” thing isn’t always the best strategy
How to start changing your nutrition without counting calories
How to make giant changes feel achievable
And more
When we’re trying to do something hard, the key is to feel like we’re succeeding early on. We need to feel successful in order to keep going and we need to keep getting wins along the way to keep us in the journey long enough to see the results we’re looking for. Often with weight loss, we focus on reducing our total calories first. And, even though we need to do that, it sometimes feels too daunting and we give up quickly. The Energy Density Hierarchy flips that strategy on its head to make it feel more achievable and sustainable.
