We had the incredible privilege of a visit from Jeff Woodke. He's the captured missionary we prayed for on Sunday, March 19. After almost 7 years of captivity, he was released the next morning! What an incredible faith-building experience for all of us, and this Sunday, we got to hear from him and pray for his continued health and strength.
We also consider how the Psalms; God's songs in the Bible, speak to moments like this. Most of us may never experience something as dramatic and difficult as years in foreign captivity, but we each walk through challenges in life that sometimes seem impossible to overcome. Where can we go for help when all seems lost? Where can we find strength when we feel we can't go on?
Our prayer is that God will meet you in a unique way and open your heart to the hope that He offers!
