What's the greatest invitation you've ever received? Did you know there's an invitation from Jesus to a purpose and a life we could barely imagine? Peter, Andrew, and the others were so excited to get this invitation in Matthew 4:18-22 that they didn't hesitate. And, this invitation is extended to us, as well.
Jesus doesn't invite us to follow a bunch of rules… Jesus doesn't say, "Hey, get yourself together! Then, God will love you and you can go to heaven." Instead, it’s an invitation to HIMSELF - to get to know Him, to begin to love Him, to treasure Him, to follow Him.
It's not a call to religion. It's not a call to a building once a week. It's not a call to confession. It's an invitation to a personal relationship with Jesus. The One who made the universe, the One who made you, the One who died on a cross and rose again in victory is calling us to know Him deeply and personally.
