Description

Greetings from the Lake of the Ozarks and the School of the Osage! My name is Laura Hayes and you are listening to the Heritage Little Authors Podcast. ANNNNNNDD we’re back… again. Boy, I tell you what… That snow was a doozy. It’s been a bit so just a reminder. The original purpose of this podcast is to highlight and elevate student narrative writing. Throughout most of 1st semester, our 2nd graders honed their craft of storytelling in the library to support their narrative writing in the classroom. Once their writing is complete and evaluated by the teacher, they bring their writing to the library to workshop it with their peers. They decide when and how to do Foley sound effects to help tell their story. When they feel they are ready, they come to the library with their group and record their narratives while their peers perform Foley sound effects at just the right time. Today we have Mrs. Towner’s class. Enjoy.
