In this episode, our lesson consisted of a highly back and forth style in which reasons that many lack assurance/doubt their relationship with God were discussed. Though each prayer group contributed their own personal experiences, seven reasons were directly asserted in the lesson:
Reason #1 People Lack Assurance: Some lack assurance because they have been under preaching that elevates God’s Holy Standards.
Reason #2 People Lack Assurance: Some Lack assurance because they cannot accept forgiveness.
Reason #3 People Lack Assurance: Some lack assurance because they do not understand the gospel and the plan of salvation.
Reason #4 People Lack Assurance: Some people may lack assurance because they can’t remember an exact moment of salvation.
Reason #5 People Lack Assurance: Some people may feel the pull of the flesh so strongly and see so few qualities of the New Man that they wonder if they are indeed a New Creature.
Reason #6 People Lack Assurance: Some people lack assurance because they do not sense God’s presence during the tough storms of life.
Reason #7 People Lack Assurance: If you do not walk in step with the Holy Spirit, you may lack assurance.
