Luciano Floridi is an Italian and British philosopher. He holds a double appointment as Professor of Philosophy and Ethics of Information at the University of Oxford. Floridi is best known for his work on two areas of philosophical research: the philosophy of information, and information ethics. Floridi is deeply engaged with emerging policy initiatives on the socio-ethical value and implications of digital technologies and their applications.
