Description

Sean Kanuck is an international attorney and professional intelligence analyst who advises governments, corporations, and entrepreneurs on the future of information technology. Sean served as the first U.S. National Intelligence Officer for Cyber Issues from 2011 to 2016 after a decade of experience in the CIA’s Information Operations Center, including both analytic and field assignments. He currently teaches graduate courses at George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs and George Mason University’s Law School on the security implications of artificial intelligence and ethics in national security law, respectively. His academic publications focus on cyber security, information warfare, international law, and more recently, the peaceful and ethical use of emerging technologies.
